Cannolis for Breakfast!

So a very dear friend created this delicious recipe for breakfast cannolis and she said that we could share it! Mrs. Gerilyn Kleckley from Bryan, Texas came up with this little to-die-for dish and I'll give you my version of the how-to.

First, you will need two cans of 1o biscuits... I bought the flakey golden layers but any cheap refrigerated biscuits will do! You will also need cinnamon sugar, butter and one package of cream cheese (cut into 20 squares).

Next, flatten out the biscuit and put one side in the cinnamon sugar.

Place one square of cream cheese (approximately 1 tbsp)  one the cinnamon sugar side of the biscuit. Fold the edges of biscuit around the cover the cream cheese.

Brush the biscuit with melted butter and roll in more cinnamon and sugar.

Place each cannoli "seam side" down in an 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350 for about 20-25 minutes- be watching for golden brown biscuits!

Meanwhile, you will want to be making the glaze to drizzle on top of the cannolis. Gerilyn's recipe calls for OJ and powdered sugar, but since I only had orange, peach, mango... that'll do! Mix about a 1/2 cup of powdered sugar with a tablespoon of juice and adjust to make a smooth, thin glaze.

Here they are baking!! YUM!

Once out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over the warm cannolis.

Thank you so very much for sharing Gerilyn!!
Sew. Sweet.
